About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am glad that you have visited. I joined the Southern California Permanente Medical Group in 2008. I am happy to be part of this wonderful organization and work with a dedicated group of physicians.

I grew up in New Jersey, and spent twelve years in New York City, where I completed my undergraduate studies at Columbia College, and attended medical school at New York University. I stayed on at NYU for my residency in internal medicine. I came to California to do a fellowship in endocrinology at the UCLA/West Los Angeles Veterans Administration. I have since made my home in Orange County, where I enjoy the sunny weather and wide variety of family activities.

About my practice

I believe in building a strong relationship between patient and physician. I strive to educate patients about their health conditions, and work together towards managing medical issues. Listening attentively to patient concerns is important. Teamwork is also important, as healthcare involves not just physicians and patients, but an entire staff. As a specialist, I work with physicians in other fields to coordinate care. I also educate colleagues on the most recent developments and emerging trends in endocrinology. Medicine is dynamic and constantly changing. I stay up-to-date on the most current evidence-based practices and guidelines.

How I thrive

Each person can thrive in his or her own way. Family time is very important to me. In my home, we focus on spending time together without the distraction of the phone, computers, or TV. I take walks as often as possible. It is good for the body and the mind. It is also important to take deep breaths each day, and enjoy the small things in life that make you happy.
