About Me

I was born in Los Angeles, California, and was raised in the San Francisco Bay area. I have lived in Oregon for the past 25 years. I became interested in counseling in my adult life and returned to school to study while raising my children.

About my practice

I received my associate degree in alcohol and drug counseling from Portland Community College and my Bachelor of Arts degree in art therapy from Antioch University in Seattle, Washington. I received my master's degree in social work from Portland State University. My education and nearly 20 years of experience in the behavioral health counseling field combine to form a solid knowledge base with which to serve my clients' needs. I appreciate the uniqueness of each individual, as well as the challenges they face in order to overcome addiction. I strive to provide a respectful and warm atmosphere for clients to explore their recovery in.

How I thrive

I enjoy gardening and spending time outdoors. I find these to have a therapeutic effect for the counseling work I do at Kaiser Permanente. I have been practicing yoga and meditation for 35 years and hope to bring mindfulness to my daily work with clients.
