About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I was born and raised in Chicago, where I decided at an early age that providing vision care for others was my calling. I care just as much about my patients as I do about their eyes. I enjoy discovering and addressing ocular issues as well as developing relationships and watching my patients and their families grow.

Biography

I graduated cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in biochemistry and with honors in chemistry from Xavier University in Louisiana. I went on to earn my Doctorate in Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry in 2001. During my time in graduate school, I rotated through ocular disease programs at the VA hospitals in Providence, RI and Wilmington, DE. Since completing my doctorate I have had the opportunity to work with both optometrists and ophthalmologists in private practice as well as proctor the clinical portion of the National Boards.

About my practice

I believe that everyone benefits from comprehensive eye care. I am excited to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente team offering complete eye exams that screen for common conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetes, as well as focusing issues and refractive error. I am also available for contact lens fittings, including lenses for astigmatism and presbyopia.

How I thrive

I am an avid Chicago sports team fan and I take advantage of the California terrain by enjoying all activities involving nature. I volunteer medically and with a variety of non-medical organizations, such as Make A Wish Foundation, which is also something I consider fundamental.
