About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It’s very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.

Biography

I am a native Southern Californian who has been fortunate to remain in the area for my education and training. I attended USC for both college and medical school. Interests in the physiological and mechanical aspects of human movement led me to earn an undergraduate degree in kinesiology and, after medical school, a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I was a faculty physician at USC.

About my practice

I try to treat musculoskeletal and neurological disorders without surgery in order to minimize pain and disability and facilitate return to maximum function. Having completed an interventional spine pain management fellowship at Cedars-Sinai, I am able to perform pain management procedures including spine, joint, and nerve injections. I believe strongly in a team approach in the treatment of pain that involves the patient as an integral and active member of the team.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. The biggest priority in my life is spending time with my wonderful family. I am a diehard USC football fan and never miss a game. If my voice is hoarse when you see me on Monday, that’s because I spent my Saturday cheering for the Trojans at the Coliseum. To keep healthy, I play tennis, lift weights, and ride a stationary recumbent bike while watching TV.
