About Me

I grew up in New York State near New York City. After college, my interest in Geriatrics and an eagerness to travel led me to attend medical school in England. I returned to New York in 1983 to complete my Internal Medicine residency and fellowship in Geriatrics. In 1988 I visited the Pacific Northwest for the first time. When I saw the majestic Oregon Coast, it was love at first sight. I have called Oregon my home since 1989 and continue to be enthralled by its beauty.

About my practice

Before joining Kaiser Permanente, I practiced Internal Medicine with an emphasis on Geriatrics, and now I utilize my Internal Medicine training to collaborate with patients and their families to maximize function and quality of life. I particularly enjoy Geriatric Medicine because it provides me the opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary care team that meets the needs of patients and their caregivers.

How I thrive

Sharing time with my husband and daughter is how I live well; whether it is buying yet more books at Powell's, hiking the endless trails in Oregon or working in our garden.
