About me
Born and raised in Southern California, I come from a small family. I am the first in my family to pursue advanced degrees in education, and the first to pursue a career in medicine. My interest in the field of medicine grew out of personal experiences dealing with family illness, volunteering in the medical field, providing care for our underserved populations during college, and working as an EMT in both the critical care and emergency departments. My educational experiences have taken me across the US multiple times. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis and medical school at Boston University. I returned to California during my residency training in Diagnostic Radiology, where I trained at Kaiser Permanente , Los Angeles. During fellowship, my family and I spent a year back on the East Coast while I trained in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Virginia. I joined Kaiser Permanente Northwest directly following my fellowship year in 2010. Working here has been a rewarding experience, allowing me to truly deliver patient-centered care. I am most impressed with the ability to collaborate with my colleagues from different specialties throughout the region around the common goals of providing our patients with the best and most appropriate care possible.
About my practice
I am board certified in diagnostic radiology and have subspecialty fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology. My interests are centered on patient care with a clinical focus on interventional oncology, diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular disease, and general interventional procedures. I have experience in treating malignancies from both a transarterial route as well as percutaneously through ablative techniques, with a goal to provide minimally invasive and effective cancer therapies.
How I thrive
I Thrive by spending quality time with my wife and children, because keeping a balance between work and family is important to me. Outside of the hospital I enjoy everything about the outdoors, with a particular passion for fishing. I also enjoy travelling, mountain biking, hiking, or just being out and exploring with my family.
