Welcome to my Web page. I sincerely look forward to working with you to address your heart health.
I grew up in south San Diego. I stayed close to home for college at UC San Diego and then ventured off to the Pacific Northwest for medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle. After missing the sun, I returned to Southern California and completed my residency in internal medicine and my specialty training at UCLA in Westwood. I treat all adult cardiology diseases but my special focus is on heart failure. I’m also a participant in regional heart transplant committee meetings. I am board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, cardiac CT, and nuclear cardiology.
About my practice
I strongly believe in promoting prevention and a healthy lifestyle before using medications, whenever possible. Although I always abide by published treatment guidelines and scientific evidence, I also believe that good health involves a partnership between you and your physician. I listen to your ideas and try to accommodate your needs as much as possible.
How I thrive
I ride my bicycle to work regularly. This allows me to spend more time with my family when I get home because I get my exercise in during the day. Since moving back to San Diego, I have been an avid participant in USA cycling races as well as the abundant and excellent group training rides in North County.
