Where I practice
My education and training thus far includes medical school at University of Kansas, neurology residency at Medical University of South Carolina and fellowship at Emory University. After fellowship, I joined the awesome neurology team here at Kaiser Permanente. People here, including our members, make me feel so thankful that I chose to practice medicine and they motivate me each day to keep doing my best and provide a high quality of care.
About my practice
As a board certified general neurologist, I see a wide variety of neurological conditions. Some of these include headaches, strokes, seizures, myasthenia gravis, Parkinson's disease and neuropathy. I am also fellowship trained in clinical neurophysiology, so I have a special interest in doing EEGs and EMGs, in addition to Botox injections for chronic migraines. Considering the complexity of the nervous system and how it is tied to other parts of our body and mind, I strongly believe in an integrated approach and I value personalized care.
How I thrive
While I try to "work hard and play hard," I also try to do "everything in moderation." It is my way of giving my all to my patients and still enjoying life to the fullest with my family and friends. Outside of the clinic, I try to experience as many new foods, cultures and activities as I can. Authentic Asian cuisines, quiet beaches and tear-jerking movies are a few of the things that recharge me and keep my brain juices flowing so I can continue helping my patients with their concerns and needs.
