My gender: Male
Where I practice
I am the oldest of three siblings, all overachievers! My parents had high hopes for us from the start. I thought at first I would go into science and engineering like my father, but realized that without the human element in my day-to-day work, I would be bored.
Internal medicine was a good fit for me, as I never wanted to treat people as a specific illness - I wanted to focus on the patient's health and well-being as a whole. Everyone has a story of their own to tell and that will never grow old.
About my practice
I feel that in the modern era of medicine, where care is broken up across multiple doctors and providers, it can be hard for most people to understand what is happening. The place of an internist is to help give perspective on issues and provide the big picture. That is why I always try to keep up-to-date on medications and events, so that everything can be properly assessed and put in its place.
How I thrive
You can usually find me climbing small mountains on the weekends. In addition, traveling and learning about different cultures also drives me. I am learning a few more languages on the side as well. To me, no better way exists to understand another viewpoint than to learn how cultures communicate and see the world.
