Where I practice
I was born in Michigan, but grew up in Georgia. Health and wellness have always piqued my interest. I received a bachelor's degree in health promotion and education at the University of Georgia and worked as a health educator in a girls' group home prior to completing my master's degree in medical science from Mercer University.
As a PA student, I did two clinical rotations with Kaiser Permanente. My mentor, as well as the other doctors, inspired me to pursue a career in pediatrics. Their dedication to my education and training makes me happy to be part of the Kaiser Permanente family and I plan to continue the tradition to teach future health care providers.
About my practice
I believe in preventive health, that a healthy lifestyle can promote a fulfilling future. In pediatrics, we see both physical and mental health concerns, making it necessary to emphasize the importance of overall health, not just one specific condition.
How I thrive
I make it a habit to always surround myself with motivating and loving people. I cherish the time I spend with my family and friends, whether it is exploring the world or sitting at home with a nice cup of coffee. I am an avid traveler, and I enjoy trying new foods and seeing new places. I stay active through dance, running and aerobic training.
