I grew up in a small town in Florida where we had alligators and tadpoles in the backyard. I prefered the tadpoles! I was lucky enough to participate in an American Heart Association summer scholarship program in high school and shadowed multiple health providers. I chose to study molecular biology in college at Vanderbilt University and subsequently became enrolled in the "pre-med" classes. After a year of cancer-related research, I entered medical school where I met my husband. We completed our residency together at Ohio State University. I have been in private practice since and have been blessed with wonderful patients, peers and family. I am now excited to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente team.
About my practice
I began working with Kaiser Permanente in 2010. I enjoy working for Kaiser Permanente as I continue to be impressed with the comprehensive, personal approach to our members' health care. We stress preventive care, but also are very accessible to urgent care visits.
How I thrive
Balancing a career and family can be very rewarding, but sometimes stressful. I have found music, jogging, school involvement and spending time with friends make stressors become more manageable. I find great satisfaction in my family and career.
