Where I practice
Growing up in a small town in Alabama, I would often hike in some nearby woods. I developed an interest in the anecdotal medicinal uses of common plants that I would see on my hikes, and even developed a "kit" of these remedies that I carried on camping trips in case of emergencies. This early fascination led me to pursue a career in medicine. I attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and moved to Atlanta after completing my residency in internal medicine.
About my practice
I have always had a natural curiosity about how things work, and that helps in my practice of internal medicine. Listening to my patients and finding out what issues are important to them helps bridge barriers that might impede us from reaching our common goal – your good health. I want to find out what is working for you in a particular area and then build upon that. I feel that staying healthy should be a priority, and I will do my best to provide you with high-quality care so you can take an active role in bettering your health.
How I thrive
I enjoy swimming and try to swim laps several times a week. I like to be outdoors, and working in my yard is very rewarding. My pet cat is quite playful, and she provides a great deal of entertainment. I also spend as much time as I can with family and friends.
