Where I practice
My life has been blessed with many adventures. I was born and raised in Egypt, completed high school in New Jersey, earned my bachelor's degree in California, attended medical school in the island of Dominica, and completed my internal medicine residency at Florida Atlantic University. My decision to become a physician was a combination of a childhood experience and the desire to serve as an adult. Throughout my education, I grew to believe in the philosophy that prevention is the key to a healthy lifestyle and longevity. This is why I chose to practice internal medicine, not only because it fulfills my personal medical philosophy, but also because it offers diagnostic challenges daily.
About my practice
My goal is to build strong, trusting relationships with our members. Only then, we can participate in shared, informed health care decisions to reach beneficial health outcomes. My practice covers the full scope of internal medicine, but I like to have an emphasis on prevention as I believe that prevention is the best medicine. I also practice evidence-based, high-quality health care. I chose to work for Kaiser Permanente because I feel that they value primary care, prevention and wellness.
How I thrive
I thrive through the relationships I build with our members each day. I also enjoy traveling, fishing and spending time with my family. I enjoy the outdoors, whether it is hiking in the mountains or sitting on a boat in the lake. The tranquility and disconnection from the daily hectic life is what makes me thrive.
