Where I practice
I am a native Atlantan and love the Georgia red clay. Having grown up in Atlanta, I have a great love for the true seasons and our close access to beaches. My family shares a love for warm climates and we take our vacations at the beach.
Having close family members with chronic medical illnesses and thoroughly enjoying my high school anatomy class, I decided to become a physician. I love the service I am able to provide. After graduating college from Xavier University of Louisiana, I left New Orleans to return to Georgia for medical school at Medical College of Georgia and then completed my training at Vanderbilt University. I found ambulatory medicine to be a perfect fit, and I enjoy it more every year since I started clinical practice in 2005.
About my practice
I am member of the Kaiser Permanente Adult Medicine Department and am fortunate to work with a very empathetic and caring staff. My practice is focused on educating members to make wellness a priority. I trained in internal medicine and have a specialty in hypertension management and prevention of kidney damage. I am committed to the art and science of physical diagnosis and take a patient-centered approach to care.
How I thrive
Physical activity has always been essential to my livelihood. I am active physically and keep exercise fun with Zumba dancing. I also keep mentally relaxed with prayer and meditation.
