Where I practice
I was born in Georgia and grew up Jacksonville, Fla. For college, I ventured to Washington, D.C., where I graduated from George Washington University with a degree in biology and exercise science. I missed the southern lifestyle and decided to return to Georgia for graduate school. When not spending time enjoying a good brunch or a fun "do it yourself" activity, I am typically taking advantage of the warm weather outdoors.
About my practice
I am a physician assistant working in the Kaiser Permanente Orthopedic Department. As a practitioner, it is my goal to have our members take an active role in their health care to achieve their best results. I am a strong believer in patient education, and I enjoy discussing my patients' conditions in a way that makes sense. When you come to our office you will notice that our team takes the time to listen to your concerns and discuss your options. The support staff is incredibly efficient and we try to make your visit as comprehensive as possible by completing any necessary X-rays, injections, casting or bracing at the time of your appointment, as seen fit.
How I thrive
I am a "fixer" at heart, but I am also proud of my artistic side. Therefore, I flourish in situations where I can use my creativity to solve problems - from working with our members to find the best solutions to their problems to refinishing old furniture into new and functional pieces. I believe that an active and creative mind is just as important to a healthy lifestyle as regular and consistent physical activity. I try to partake in both equally to obtain a healthy work-life balance.
