Where I practice
After being in family medicine in New Jersey for 34 years, I relocated to the Atlanta area to be closer to my family, including my granddaughter. I was inspired by one of my medical school mentors to pursue geriatrics, and this field has always been a part of my practice. Here at Kaiser Permanente, I am able to specifically focus on geriatrics. I enjoy taking care of seniors as they bring their wisdom, insight, and life experience. I find it rewarding to help them maintain the best possible quality of life as they age.
About my practice
My practice will focus on geriatric members who are referred for age-related problems, such as memory loss, falls, mobility problems or adult failure to thrive. I also see patients in the sub-acute rehabilitation setting usually after they have been hospitalized. I hope to help our members maximize their independence.
How I thrive
I am a bit of a jack-of-all trades by nature. I guess that is what got me interested in primary care in the first place. In my personal life, the same is true. I enjoy music (classical to jazz to alternative rock), gardening, cooking, the arts, crocheting, hiking and exercise (spinning, yoga, bootcamp, and the martial arts.) And of course, family time. I try to take my own advice by following a healthy diet, getting adequate rest and exercising regularly.
