My gender: Female
Where I practice
I was born in rural Pennsylvania and moved to the South in my teenage years. I attended several different high schools, as my parents moved several times during my childhood. I completed college at UNC-Chapel Hill, medical school in Philadelphia and residency at Emory. I also spent time abroad in Jordan and Australia while in college. I am interested in cultural diversity and am privileged to have found the perfect career for me. I have the opportunity to treat and engage with patients from all different backgrounds.
About my practice
I work as an emergency physician. In the past, I worked in medical claims and health administration. I enjoy process improvement and patient care. Emergency medicine today is both a combination of patient care and coordinating future health care for patients. I feel that my background in health care administration and ultrasound grants me the opportunity to provide excellent care for our members.
How I thrive
In order to care for others, I know I need to be at my best mentally and physically. I participate in kickboxing, yoga and weight training. Right before or after a shift, you will likely catch me doing one of these activities. This allows me to be my best both at work and at home. In my free time, I also enjoy spending time outdoors with my daughter and family. The beach is a place we love to visit together.
