Carolina D. Pichardo-Hernandez, MD
I speak: English, Spanish
My gender: Female
Where I practice
I was born in Puerto Rico into a family of Cubans, Dominicans and Puerto Ricans. I grew up, trained and practiced in Puerto Rico for years before moving to Georgia to be with my parents and siblings who had relocated long before me. I am married to a wonderful, supportive man and mother to an energetic daughter.
About my practice
I am passionate about health care and enjoy working with babies, kids and adolescents. I believe the health of a child is in the hands of a team and not just one person. The health care providers and parents must work together as partners to achieve those health goals. I do my best to address parents' and patients' concerns and include them in medical decisions. I joined Kaiser Permanente's Pediatrics Department in 2018, where I am encouraged to do just that.
How I thrive
My free time is all about family. Together we enjoy the park, movies, cooking, baking, dining out and meeting up with friends. I also make time for reading and taking care of myself. I secretly love puzzles, mind games and learning new things/skills. I am an undiscovered singing talent and give daily concerts in my car for my unwilling commute mates!
