Where I practice
I am from eastern North Carolina and it is a true blessing for me to be able to practice what I love to do, taking care of patients. My journey in medicine has been filled with many adventures that have led me to working with Kaiser Permanente. I worked as a certified athletic trainer for many years both on secondary and collegiate levels. During this time, I learned endless amounts of knowledge from athletic trainers and physicians, along with working with wonderful athletes and coaches. However, I always yearned to be more involved in medicine and serving a more diverse population, advocating for patients and providing advanced care. My training at Emory has allowed me to accomplish this goal and I find it rewarding each day.
About my practice
I am fortunate to work in the Kaiser Permanente Orthopedic Department. Our department is committed to providing high-quality health care to our members. I approach patient care as a shared process between the patient and myself. I feel that our members are an integral participant in their care and should be involved the entire process. My goal is to provide patients with all the information to make a healthy shared-decision that we both agree upon to have the best outcome. I treat members from teenagers to adults, mostly with joint-related concerns.
How I thrive
I am a positive, caring and kind-spirited person. I thrive when positivity is abundant in my space. I enjoy jogging, working out in the gym, dog sitting, volunteering and being active outside. This activity helps me relieve stress and keep my mind refreshed. Spending time with my family and taking care of my rabbit brings me joy.
