Kaiser Permanente medical center practitioner
My gender: Female
Yes, I’m accepting new patients. Referral may be required.
I was born in Ocean Springs, Miss., but I grew up in Atlanta. During high school, I met my mentor who was an athletic trainer, and due to his passion for helping others, I fell in love with the medical field. I received my bachelor's degree from University of Georgia, majoring in exercise and sports science, with an emphasis is athletic training. After graduating, I worked as an athletic trainer at a private high school in Roswell, Ga. I then received my master's degree from Mercer University. Upon completion of my physician assistant (PA) training, I practiced as a PA in Athens, Ga., working for a large orthopedic group.
I am a member of the Kaiser Permanente Orthopedics Department. My role as a PA in the clinic is to see, evaluate and treat our members with general orthopedic concerns. I can review and read x-rays and order tests or imaging. I am able to perform injections, as well as casting and splinting for our members. I also assist in surgeries, such as total joint replacements, arthroscopic procedures and hand cases.
I find that my best days are those in which I am able to balance my knowledge and experience with effective patient communication to collaboratively come to a solution that works best for our members. Outside of work, I am blessed with a wonderful family. I enjoy traveling, reading and walking our dog, Charlie.
