Alexander G. Bailon, MD
I speak: English, Tagalog
My gender: Male
Where I practice
The seeds of becoming a doctor were sowed and cultivated in me by my parents since childhood. I earned my medical degree from the premier medical school in the Philippines, the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. I then completed my internal medicine residency training at State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center, which is considered one of the busiest training hospitals in the country. I have been practicing adult medicine as a primary care physician since 1990. I decided to pursue primary care because of my belief in taking care of the whole person. I am grateful, privileged and humbled by the trust given to me by our members.
About my practice
Kaiser Permanente has allowed me to practice medicine in the most effective and efficient manner by putting the needs of my patients first and foremost. I also encourage my patients to be active participants in their care. The primary care practice for adults has the support of many specialists. Kaiser Permanente has also implemented an electronic medical record system, which makes it easier to obtain all pertinent data needed in our daily medical practice.
How I thrive
My wife and I love to travel and visit art museums and galleries. We are also dog lovers (especially Basset Hounds), and are involved with a local group dedicated to the care of abandoned Basset Hounds. Books, movies and electronic gadgets are my other interests.
