Your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) is a summary of services you’ve received. It shows the charges, the date of your visit, and the name of the provider you visited. An Explanation of Benefits is not a bill. It’s available after you get a bill to help you keep track of your expenses.

You only receive an EOB if you use your medical services benefits. The statement cycle may vary from daily to monthly depending on the standard for your Kaiser region. If you do not use medical services within a statement cycle, you will not receive an EOB for that cycle.

  4. If you terminate your enrollment with a Kaiser Permanente Health Plan, your EOB will only be sent in paper to your address on file.
