Where I practice
Having grown up in Eaton, Colorado, and attended CSU for my undergraduate studies, Fort Collins was the natural place to land for my family medicine practice. After medical school I spent three years on the plains of Colorado in Yuma practicing full-scope rural medicine (ER, clinic and hospital). Although it was fun, it was a little remote for our family. I'm thrilled to have the privilege of working at Kaiser Permanente in Fort Collins, where I can continue to offer a broad spectrum of family medicine in a great population. My family includes my husband and a young son and daughter. We love to eat out, be outdoors, and enjoy the neighborhood.
About my practice
I enjoy the small medical office environment here in Fort Collins where I am able to collaborate with a tight-knit group of family medicine and internal medicine physicians and pediatricians. We have a warm and welcoming atmosphere and enjoy working together in Primary Care. I am an advocate of kp.org and the direct staff and physician access that it offers my patients. I particularly enjoy women's health, dermatology, and any urgent care issues that come up. I love to relate to my patients with young families since that is my current stage of life. I can be serious when the situation requires, but most office visits with me are light-hearted.
How I thrive
I enjoy spending lots of quality time with my family. Having young kids, most of my time is spent playing with Legos, doing Avengers puzzles, making forts, taking walks, bike rides, swimming in the summer, and reading lots of stories. We love being involved with different projects and the programs offered at our church. As a family we aim to be focused on our faith and on others. Medicine is a great way to blend my personal and professional goals!
