Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Male
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
My family and I moved to Colorado in 1999 and I practiced in Vail for 12 years. We moved to New York City for a two-year adventure and returned to Denver in 2013 when I was offered a job with Colorado Permanente Medical Group. I think Kaiser Permanente medicine is the way of the future and I want to be on a team that puts patients first. I became interested in anesthesiology because it is a specialty that is in the operating room (OR) environment and combines pharmacology and physiology to create an optimum outcome for patients. I enjoy being an ambassador of the OR for patients and families.
Anesthesiology is a “behind the scenes” specialty. I strive to take the time to explain all of the things we doctors do in the operating room or in Obstetrics to make the patient experience as comfortable and painless as possible. I do my best to foster a caring relationship with each patient as I help them navigate the often scary time of having surgery or a baby. I listen and seek to understand my patients’ questions and concerns. I focus on regional anesthesia techniques to prevent nausea and pain while helping patients have an effortless surgical or obstetric experience. I work as a team with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate my patients’ care.
Exercise is the key to mental and physical health. My spare time is occupied with raising my two wonderful daughters, tennis and skiing.
