Where I practice
I moved to the Denver as a teenager in the '80s. From the beginning, Colorado was a great fit for me. The outdoors and the Colorado mindset of getting the most out of life, have resonated with me for a long time. I feel a great connection and obligation to make my community a better place for my children, and for everyone. I view practicing psychotherapy as an important way to contribute to the community.
About my practice
In college, I became very interested and energized studying Psychology. Providing mental health therapy gives me an opportunity to apply these concepts to help others improve their lives. I am always interested in the diversity of my patients' various experiences and mindsets. I consider it an amazing privilege to be in a position to support individuals as they work to improve their lives. I am a pediatric provider, and I see patients from birth to 18 in individual and family therapy. I work as a team with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate my patients' care. I take a strength based approach and encourage patients and families to tap into the resources that will bring significant and substantial change most quickly.
My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for my patients, so they aren't spending extra time or money to get the care they deserve. I am focused in supporting my patients' journey of recovery by challenging them to access their personal strengths, and most importantly their inner courage.
How I thrive
I get great energy and enjoyment from spending time with family and friends, in any activity in the outdoors. I have learned that stimulating my brain with activities and interests is essential to my mental health. I am always looking for an opportunity to enjoy the mild Colorado climate, and get up to the mountains as much as possible. I love to cook and to support my children in their sports and academics.
