Where I practice
I grew up in Georgia and completed my undergraduate and medical education in the Peach State. Go Dawgs! Adventure was calling and I moved to colorful Colorado for residency. I trained at the Denver Health residency in emergency medicine and served as a chief resident my final year. During my residency training, I had the opportunity to rotate at Saint Joseph Hospital and I really enjoyed my time and experiences in the ED. I loved the patients, staff and pathology so much I decided to stay in the Mile High City after residency and was very fortunate to be able to join Kaiser Permanente and the Saint Joseph Hospital team.
About my practice
I love emergency medicine and the opportunity to treat “anything and everything” that walks through our door. The emergency department is an unpredictable environment and I enjoy working with our ED team to provide efficient, high-quality care for all of our patients ranging from the child with ankle pain, to the woman in early labor and the complex elderly patient with several concerning symptoms. Emergency medicine is a team sport. I value the opportunity to collaborate with my fellow physicians, nurses, techs and other staff members to deliver excellent and timely care to meet the needs of my patients and their families.
How I thrive
The emergency department is an often demanding and challenging environment, but seeing my patients happy and receiving the care they need is very rewarding. Outside of the hospital, I enjoy spending time with friends and family as well as skiing, hiking, rock climbing and traveling.
