Where I practice
I’m originally from the East Coast and moved to Denver for all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. I enjoy practicing yoga, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, traveling, tasting different cultural cuisines, and attending music festivals and concerts. I became a physician to help others heal and become healthier versions of themselves. I subsequently found my passion in helping those struggling with addiction heal.
About my practice
I believe in a non-judgmental, empathic, compassionate, honest approach to your care. It is an honor to be a part of your journey. I also believe in a team-based approach to patient care and collaborate with our team to arrive at the best care for our patients. From helping some folks navigate their ambivalence to stop using a substance to supporting what they need in the moment is truly rewarding. Approximately 95 percent of those struggling with addiction do not feel they need help; I wish to decrease these numbers as I want you to know that we are here for you. Addiction treatment really does save lives! I work with adults age 18 years or older. I believe in a holistic approach to treating patients and am happy to discuss various forms of alternative therapies that may be suitable to you individually, such as an acudetox group. Acudetox consists of placing 5 acupuncture needles into your ear, which may be helpful with detoxification, insomnia, anxiety and cravings.
How I thrive
Practicing yoga and meditation allows me to remain flexible, both on and off the mat.
