Where I practice
A Midwesterner by birth and work ethic, I have lived most of my life in Littleton, Colorado. My husband and I graduated from Columbine High School and after several years of a "When Harry Met Sally" relationship, we married. We have three daughters: one a middle school teacher, and two in college. I practice medicine as a service to children and their parents. I believe the wellness of our nation truly is reflected by how well we “grow” our children. I was honored to be recognized as a 5280 Magazine Top Doctor in 2018.
About my practice
My vision is to enthusiastically promote wellness – physical, emotional and spiritual. As a pediatrician, my practice consists of pre-term infants to 18-year-olds. I particularly enjoy coaching new parents to help them mindfully raise healthy children. Acute pediatric illness and chronic conditions like asthma, allergy and complex medical disease processes are within the scope of pediatrics. I have a close working relationship with my team, especially Sherea, my nurse for the last several years. This is a partnership. It's important to me to take care of my patients using evidence-based medicine, so I work to help educate parents on healthy habits, wise antibiotic use (not unless absolutely indicated) and the incredible importance of immunizing children.
How I thrive
I thrive by being with my family, cooking, wine-tasting, gardening and hiking. For many years, I participated on the Board of Hunger Free Colorado for Kaiser Permanente, which was incredibly meaningful work for me with the goal to end hunger in the state. My best days are when I remember to be grateful.
