Where I practice
I love to travel which is why starting my medical school journey on the sunny island of St Maarten was a perfect fit! After two years of sunshine it was off to foggy old London, England, where I spent a year of clinical rotations. England will always have a special place in my heart because that is where I met my husband who was also in training. Following our time abroad we moved back to New York to complete our last year of medical school. After medical school my husband and I moved to the desert for our internship and residency at the University of Arizona (Go Cats!). Following my training I worked as a hospitalist in Arizona, but I missed the continuity of care I had working in clinic. When we relocated to Colorado, Kaiser Permanente was a perfect fit to start building my continuity practice. It has been wonderful to be part of such an amazing team. My husband and I recently welcomed our first daughter this past spring and have been thrilled to take on the role as parents.
About my practice
As a Family Medicine Physician, my philosophy is treat my patients as a whole, which means not just taking the body into consideration but the mind as well. During my training, I had exposure to integrative medicine and enjoy implementing what I learned into treatment plans for my patients. I am also an advocate for preventative medicine and promoting healthy lifestyle. Being a retired college athlete, sports medicine has always been a particular area of interest, however I relish in treating patients of all ages for both chronic and acute illness.
How I thrive
When I am not practicing medicine, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our daughter. I enjoy running and yoga to de-stress and I am excited to start exploring all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. In fact, we just bought our first pair of snow shoes and can’t wait to give it a try!
