I was born and raised in Grand Junction, Colorado, along with my wife and subsequently our yellow lab, Pickles. I traveled across the Rocky Mountains following high school for my undergraduate degree at the University of Denver. After college, my wife and I were transplanted west to northern California for my medical education at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Missing home here in Colorado, we moved back to Denver for my training in family medicine at St. Anthony North. Having completed residency and board certification in family medicine, I started my career with Kaiser Permanente at the Rock Creek Medical Offices.
My philosophy of medicine is simply to optimize the health and quality of life of each of my patients. I believe in the body’s amazing and intrinsic ability to heal, while maintaining a strong focus on preventive medicine, evidence-based treatments, and the importance of the physician/patient relationship. My approach to patient care is a collaborative one – providing a medical home from which we coordinate both our primary care plan and specialized evaluations and treatments when necessary. I further find efficacy and fulfillment in providing Osteopathic Manipulative Treatments (OMT) as needed to my patient population.
I live well by continuously striving toward a healthy life balance. I obtain joy both from my medical career and from many hobbies. Skiing, golf, soccer, fly-fishing, and movies are only a few of my favorite personal and family activities that help maintain this healthy balance.
