Kaiser Permanente physician
My gender: Male
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I was born and raised in Rhode Island, and have lived on the East Coast in various cities. After attending medical school at Georgetown University, my wife and I moved to Colorado, where I completed my residency training in family medicine at Saint Joseph Hospital. After residency, I did additional training through a sports medicine fellowship at UCLA where I worked as a team physician for various sports, keeping the athletes healthy and covering games on the sidelines to treat injuries as they occurred. I specifically worked with the football, tennis and baseball teams. My wife and I are glad to be in Colorado, and along with our son and two daughters, we enjoy exploring the outdoors and feel fortunate to live in such a beautiful place.
My background as a family physician is important for seeing the patient as a whole person and working to treat orthopedic and medical conditions within that context. I specifically work in non-operative orthopedics and the treatment of acute and overuse orthopedic injuries, from sprains and strains to broken bones. I enjoy helping people get back to participating in the sports and activities they enjoy and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. I also take care of patients who have more chronic orthopedic problems like arthritis, and work to keep these patients active and healthy while treating the discomfort of these conditions. My everyday medical practice is a team approach that involves not only myself and the staff in our office, but also my surgical orthopedic colleagues, physical therapy, and the complementary and alternative medicine providers. I work closely with my surgical colleagues in the Orthopedics department, and when I am taking care of a patient who needs surgery, we coordinate to take care of these patients together.
I enjoy spending time with my wife, our son and daughters. Colorado is a beautiful place to live and we try to get outside as much as possible with skiing, walking or hiking. I enjoy following all my Boston area sports teams from a distance. Go Red Sox and Patriots!
