Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Female
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I am originally from Washington state. After venturing to the Midwest for school, I began my career working in Chicago at a community health center that primarily served the LGBTQ community. After many years in the Midwest, the beauty and better weather of the west drew me back.
I work in primary care medicine, as I enjoy getting to see patients on a regular basis and getting to know them. I believe the practice of medicine should be a collaborative effort between provider and patient, and I strive to help patients make informed decisions regarding their health. Also, given my background, I have a special interest in caring for the LGBTQ population.
Electronic medical records help me to see the big picture of a patient's health, so I can make good use of our time together and answer my patient's questions. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for my patients, so they aren't spending extra time or money to get the care they deserve. I hope to make patients feel comfortable, respected and heard while working together to improve their health.
As with most Coloradans, I look to nature to thrive in mind, body and spirit. I enjoy cycling, hiking, and camping. Recently my partner has convinced me to attempt to conquer my fear of heights by tackling rock climbing. I am also involved in a local non-profit that provides services to transgender and gender non-conforming persons.
