About me

Although I'm an Indiana native, I have lived in Colorado since 2006 and consider this "home." I finished my residency in Denver and then worked for five years in community health, which taught me endless lessons about both life and medicine. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2014. I attribute my interest in medicine to my parents – an engineer and a teacher. I have a scientific mind and enjoy interacting with people as well as teaching. My favorite aspect of practicing medicine is getting to know patients as a whole and watching them throughout changes in life.

About my practice

I practice lifestyle medicine; many syndromes and diseases are caused by factors that we control including poor nutrition, stress, lack of exercise and poor sleep. I treat the whole individual and I chose family medicine because it allows me to treat entire families and recognize trends that relate to every member. I also practice what I preach and try my best to act as a role model in addition to a medical provider. I have a special interest in women's health and preventive medicine. I speak Spanish and enjoy caring for the Latino population. I am also the transgender champion for Hidden Lake and enjoy taking care of the LGBTQ population.

How I thrive

My love for sports, nature and the mountains brought me to Colorado and I continue to spend my free time being active in the outdoors.

Information in this online directory is updated periodically and applies to commercial plans underwritten by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Colorado. The availability of physicians, hospitals, providers, and services may change. To verify whether a provider accepts Kaiser Permanente plans, contact the provider directly. Current provider information is available at kp.org/locations. This information is updated within 72 business hours of receipt from providers. Kaiser Permanente of Colorado attempts to ensure the online directory contains up-to-date information. However, providers are responsible for notifying kp.org of any changes to their information, and untimely communication may result in outdated provider information appearing on the website. The printed directory is current as of the date of publication. Kaiser Permanente is not responsible for use of outdated directories.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, geographic, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.

Information about a practitioner is provided to us by the practitioner or the practitioner's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process. An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.

To report any inaccuracies in the directory, contact Member Services. Members may also report inaccuracies at kp.org/memberservices.

Referrals to affiliated/contracted physicians/providers in Denver/Boulder

Affiliated/contracted physicians/providers are not part of the Colorado Permanente Medical Group (CPMG). They are physicians/providers who have a contract with the CPMG.

If your CPMG physician decides that you require covered services not available internally from CPMG, he or she will refer you to an affiliated/contracted physician/provider.

You must have a written referral to the affiliated/contracted physician/provider in order for Kaiser Permanente Colorado to cover the services. A referral is a written authorization from Kaiser Permanente for you to receive a covered service from an affiliated/contracted physician/provider.
