Where I practice
I was born in Kathmandu, Nepal, and moved to the U.S. in 2007 after completing my medical degree at Kathmandu University. After spending more than 7 years in Minnesota, I moved to Colorado with my family in 2016. The decision to move was very easy because of the abundance of outdoor activities that this state has to offer. I pursued medicine because I have always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. The happiness that I can see in patients’ eyes is the most rewarding feeling for any physician, and I feel lucky to witness that on a regular basis.
About my practice
With obesity being one of the major causes of many chronic illnesses in today's world, I believe in preventive medicine on top of treating obesity at all levels. My long-term goal is to provide care to patients of all age groups. I am especially interested in managing diabetes, lipedema, polycystic ovarian syndrome and binge eating disorder. I always try to help my patients based on what their needs are and what will work best for them. I listen to understand your questions and concerns, so we can provide the most appropriate care for you. We have an excellent group here at Kaiser Permanente that provides some of the best bariatric services in the country, and I am really proud to be part of this team.
How I thrive
I thrive by spending time with my 2 young daughters and my wife. We love all types of recreational activities, including hiking, running, skiing and biking. I play competitive soccer throughout the year and we like to travel when we can.
