Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Male
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I am originally from Bogotá, Colombia, and earned my medical degree from Rosario University in 1997, practicing General Medicine in Colombia before moving to the United States (US). After relocating to the US, I completed my residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (physiatry) in 2005, at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. After residency, I worked for three years as a Medical Director for the pain clinic at RWMC in the underserved community of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, acquiring knowledge in general pain management and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. After completion of my commitment, I had the privilege of joining Baylor College of Medicine as an assistant professor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; I was actively involved educating residents about rehabilitation treatment of patients with neuro-trauma and Musculoskeletal disorders.
Kaiser Permanente offered me the exciting opportunity of practicing these areas in one of the most beautiful cities of the U.S., such as Denver, Colorado. A major interest of mine is musculoskeletal/spine rehabilitation and electro diagnostic medicine. I am board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and have special interest and expertise in the areas of musculoskeletal medicine, non-surgical treatment of spine disorders, and electrodiagnosis and Neuro-rehabilitation (EMG/NCS). I am fluent in both English and Spanish.
I enjoy photography, as it is one of my favorite hobbies. I love the outdoors and being able to capture nature and its wonders through a lens of a camera. I also enjoy ethnic food, foreign art movies, and love Colombian coffee.
