Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Male
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I grew up in California where my dad was a primary care doctor, my mom was a nurse, and my grandfather was a surgeon. I became interested in medicine from a fairly young age, seeing the fulfillment my father and grandfather found in their work. My interest in gastroenterology developed during medical school when I saw how the mix of procedures and clinical care that gastroenterologists provide can lead to substantial improvements in our patients’ lives. During my training I spent time in Houston, Dallas, Denver, Seattle and Chicago, and like many I was captivated by the geography and climate of Colorado. My wife, two daughters, and our dog moved back to Colorado to enjoy the outdoors, the mountains and the friendly community.
My focus in caring for my patients is on ensuring that their comfort is a priority during procedures (colonoscopy, endoscopy, etc.) and that we work together to develop an individually tailored treatment plan with any questions or concerns being effectively addressed. I see the full range of gastroenterological and hepatobiliary disease and also work hard to prevent colon cancer by staying on top of the latest advances in colonoscopy and polyp detection.
I enjoy cycling, hiking and skiing. When I was younger, I played a lot of ultimate Frisbee, qualifying for and competing in College Nationals three years in a row. We are working on teaching our two daughters to enjoy all that Colorado has to offer, with the newest adventure being learning to ski.
