I speak: English
My gender: Female
Where I practice
I love living in Colorado and seeing the dramatic views of the mountains. My family and I relish hiking and biking the Front Range whenever we can. I am a member of the Jemez Pueblo in New Mexico. I had the opportunity to live and work in South Australia where I became an avid scuba diver and dove the Great Barrier Reef. I also learned how to drive on the left side of the road. I enjoy working as a social worker with the elderly and their families.
About my practice
The geropsychiatry program is a consultative service which specializes in comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of behavioral health issues, memory concerns, and assessment regarding current patient functioning that may occur with aging. We are a team of interdisciplinary professionals trained in nursing, social work, psychiatry, and geriatric medicine. When appropriate our evaluation may be completed virtually through a comprehensive chart review by the consulting provider. The goal of the evaluation is to provide the patient, their family, or support system with behavioral management techniques, medication recommendations if needed, and management of any patient specific needs.
How I thrive
I thrive by staying healthy and stimulating my brain. I love going to high intensity Zumba classes with my daughter. I started teaching myself drum rhythms on the darbuka. When I can I volunteer at my children’s school and donate blood. I love reading books about mysteries, science fiction, and book that are professionally relevant. For serious fun, I play bunco with my favorite neighborhood ladies. What I enjoy the most are dinner conversations with my family.
