Where I practice
I grew up in the Washington, D.C., area and studied along the East Coast. I moved back and practiced in D.C. after completing my training, but chose to move to Colorado given my love for the outdoors and dry climate. I have been here for more than 10 years and still love seeing the Rockies every day.
About my practice
I believe in a holistic approach to health. The human body is amazing, and I don’t believe we have unlocked all of the secrets it holds. I work with my patients to make treatment plans that meet their needs and lifestyles, including integrating alternative treatments into care. While I am a surgeon and love watching people recover to their best selves, I am humble enough to acknowledge that sometimes surgery is not the best option for a patient. Electronic medical records help me to see the big picture of a patient’s health, so I can make good use of our time together and answer my patient’s questions. The field of orthopedic surgery has low female representation compared to other specialties, so I count myself lucky to have bonded with so many patients over the years who have trusted me to take care of their numerous musculoskeletal issues. My practice focuses on athletic injuries of the shoulder, knee, and ankle, as well as general fracture care.
How I thrive
I enjoy exploring the wonders of nature in our own backyard and beyond. I am an avid gardener on a small Denver lot. I love traveling around the world, experiencing different places and cultures.
