About me

I am originally from the California Bay Area—born in San Francisco and having spent the majority of my life living in and around that great city. I received my bachelor of arts degree (psychology) at California State University, San Marcos, and my master of arts degree (counseling psychology) at the University of San Francisco. I developed an interest in mental health and providing direct support services at an early age, based on some experiences with peers coming from disrupted families and living in communities marked by violence. Over the course of the past 20+ years, I have come to have a strong belief in the value of strength-based and culturally competent mental health interventions and have had many opportunities to work with individuals seeking support for a wide variety of reasons and needs.

About my practice

Populations: children, teens, adults, seniors, couples, and families. Specialties: ADD/ADHD, social skills, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, PTSD, phobias, OCD, depression, anger, grief/loss, eating disorders, substance abuse, personality disorders, autism spectrum, life transitions, parenting, and relational difficulties. Interventions: CBT, trauma-focused CBT, DBT, mindfulness practice, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, strategic/structural family therapy, and parent/child attachment.

How I thrive

I often suggest to the individuals I provide support to (and reminding them often), that engaging in self-care is a key element of overall mental and physical health. This is reflected in the activities I enjoy; which include cycling, cooking, traveling when possible, yoga, recreational reading, and finding quiet time to reflect on the good things in life.

Information in this online directory is updated periodically and applies to commercial plans underwritten by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Colorado. The availability of physicians, hospitals, providers, and services may change. To verify whether a provider accepts Kaiser Permanente plans, contact the provider directly. Current provider information is available at kp.org/locations. This information is updated within 72 business hours of receipt from providers. Kaiser Permanente of Colorado attempts to ensure the online directory contains up-to-date information. However, providers are responsible for notifying kp.org of any changes to their information, and untimely communication may result in outdated provider information appearing on the website. The printed directory is current as of the date of publication. Kaiser Permanente is not responsible for use of outdated directories.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.

Information about a practitioner is provided to us by the practitioner or the practitioner's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process. An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.

To report any inaccuracies in the directory, contact Member Services. Members may also report inaccuracies at kp.org/memberservices.

Referrals to affiliated/contracted physicians/providers in Denver/Boulder

Affiliated/contracted physicians/providers are not part of the Colorado Permanente Medical Group (CPMG). They are physicians/providers who have a contract with the CPMG.

If your CPMG physician decides that you require covered services not available internally from CPMG, he or she will refer you to an affiliated/contracted physician/provider.

You must have a written referral to the affiliated/contracted physician/provider in order for Kaiser Permanente Colorado to cover the services. A referral is a written authorization from Kaiser Permanente for you to receive a covered service from an affiliated/contracted physician/provider.
