Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I was drawn to medicine in my 20s after my father’s late stage cancer diagnosis. I did not understand all of the nuances of his diagnosis and treatment, risks and benefits, and the possibility of doing nothing, and felt helpless. So here I am, a practicing radiologist, specializing in breast imaging, feeling much more helpful and hopeful.
My family and I relocated to Colorado from Southern California, and although we miss the beach, we do love the mountains and positive, progressive environment here. We love being outdoors, cooking good food and reading great books. We have two happy, healthy daughters and a dog named Lemmy. Life is good.
As a breast imager, I have the privilege of working closely with members during their breast screenings, diagnostic work-ups, biopsy procedures and beyond. I work mostly with female members, but not exclusively. I feel it is my role to provide the best answers I can, utilizing the technology we have, as soon as we can, to either alleviate the inherent anxiety that surrounds breast imaging work, or help provide definitive answers so that treating clinicians can begin their treatments and healing. I interpret imaging for asymptomatic members but see any member referred for breast complaints. In that diagnostic role, there is a fair amount of discussion regarding imaging findings, as well as education and counseling. I am straightforward, unafraid to say, “I do not know,” and will help get to the answer as best I can. I perform interventional procedures specific to my field, such as aspirations, biopsies and pre-surgical localizations and injections. I am grateful for the technologists I work alongside, our integrated health care system and our frequent interdisciplinary conferences that allow for dynamic interactions, discussions and evidence-based treatment planning. It really provides for satisfying, comprehensive patient care.
I am of mixed Thai and Italian heritage. I love traveling to experience different cultures, beautiful landscapes and a variety of wonderful foods. I like getting out of my comfort zone every once in a while, trying to communicate, navigating unfamiliar places, getting lost, and finding those unknown gems that make lasting memories. I also love reading, learning and sharing all of these loves with my family.
