Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Male
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I am originally from Canada. I went to medical school and completed my anesthesia training at the University of Toronto. I did subspecialty training in Houston in the late 1980s in regional anesthesia and pain management. I initially moved to Colorado in 1989 to work at the University of Colorado. I joined Colorado Permanente Medical Group in 1990 and have been practicing with Kaiser Permanente ever since. I am now one of the longest serving members of my department.
I enjoy performing regional anesthesia, including nerve blocks, spinals and epidurals. I am also interested in acute pain management in the peri-operative area. This often entails providing continuous forms of nerve blocks to patients who have undergone major operations. I do my best to help and encourage my surgical and anesthesia colleagues in this endeavor. I have a strong belief that no patient should suffer the consequences of poorly managed post-operative pain. I look forward to meeting my patients and enjoy learning about them. I would encourage patients to ask their providers what course of treatment they would want for themselves in a similar situation.
I am an avid cyclist and try to ride to work on a daily basis. I also enjoy cooking and have a firm belief in eating well with proper nutrition. I have a son and a daughter. My son is launched in his career and lives in Los Angeles, and my daughter is in law school at the University of Colorado.
