Where I practice
I am a Colorado native and began my studies at the University of Denver where I completed a master’s degree in molecular biology. I moved to Pittsburgh to complete my physician assistant studies. I worked in oncology at the University of Pittsburgh for 4 years in a specialty clinic for melanoma and sarcoma patients. My life took me to Scotland where I worked in orthopedic surgery for a few years. Upon returning to the states, I was thrilled to get back into oncology with Kaiser Permanente. I enjoy working in oncology and the support that our entire clinic brings to our patients keeps me energized each day. Outside of work, my 2 young girls keep me busy and watching them grow brings me such joy!
About my practice
My oncology experience, helping treat patients during a very scary and vulnerable time in their lives, has always provided me with a humbling sense of pride. My goal is to help provide a sense of comfort, great encouragement, and overall support during their cancer treatment journey. I strive to help educate patients about their diagnosis and treatments so they can make the most informed decisions regarding their care.
How I thrive
My daughters are the center of my universe. We keep busy with projects around our home, traveling, and enjoying good food. We keep healthy and happy as a family by regularly getting outdoors and experiencing new things. I’ve recently started working harder on my own physical fitness. I’m working out new recipes for better health-conscious eating without losing out on taste. I can always be convinced to go out for Mexican food and love spicy salsa!
