Kaiser Permanente provider

Not accepting new patients. Please call 1-855-208-7221.
I was raised in Englewood, Colorado and received my B.S. in Biology from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Anxious to return to Colorado, I completed medical school and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado and started my career with Kaiser Permanente in 2000. I found the perfect long-term practice fit for me. I live in Nederland with my husband, son, daughter and our dogs. We enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle with hiking, skiing, snowshoeing and biking.
I chose to enter a Primary Care field because I love developing relationships with people. I am proud to work for Kaiser Permanente as a nonprofit health care entity and one that supports high-quality and evidence-based medical care. My areas of interest include preventive medicine, women’s health, cardiology and transgender care. I care for adults over age 18, with a focus on patients over 50. I believe in open communication with my patients and am very accessible to my patients via an office visit, telephone call or email. I believe a well-balanced diet, regular exercise and stress reduction are the cornerstones of good health, so I will encourage you to make healthy choices to support our treatment goals. The longer I practice medicine, the more I realize “less is more.” More testing and more medications don't equal better health. I will always try to make sure we are doing the right tests and starting (or stopping) the right medications to take the best care of you and to help you maintain a great quality of life.
I enjoy staying connected with younger generations by speaking at college classes and mentoring residents in our office. And you will always finding me reading a good book—mysteries are my favorite.
