Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Female
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I am originally from Prague, Czech Republic, and came to the United States in 2000. I had just graduated with a chemical engineering degree and was taking the summer off to travel. During my travels, I met my now husband in Tampa, Fla., and decided to stay. I then fulfilled my childhood dream of becoming a nurse, and have worked in the ICU, hospice, labor and delivery, and postpartum departments. We moved to Colorado in 2008 and I started graduate school shortly thereafter to become nurse practitioner. As an NP I have worked in primary care, pediatrics, and now with perinatal home and hospital care. My passion is caring for moms and babies in the very vulnerable postpartum period.
I advocate for my patients and strive to preserve their health. I offer an environment which is compassionate, comfortable, trusting, altruistic, and non-judgmental. I want to help empower women to make the best decisions for their bodies. I am an international board-certified lactation consult (IBCLC) and am passionate about breastfeeding; however, I understand that each situation is unique. I support a woman’s decision and develop unique plans for each mom and baby. I absolutely love working with perinatal home and hospital care.
I love spending time outside in beautiful Colorado. I like yoga, skiing, running, playing guitar, and spending time with my friends and family—my husband, 2 daughters, a son, and 2 cats.
