I grew up near Chicago, Illinois, and attended some playoff games long ago when the Bulls were amazing! I went to college in a small but beautiful town in New Hampshire, where I studied psychology, made wonderful friends, and met my husband. I worked on a cancer floor at Duke Hospital in North Carolina before moving to Boston to complete my pre-med classes. I attended medical school at University of Michigan (Go Blue!) before coming out to Denver for residency training at Saint Joseph Hospital. My husband is also a doctor and specializes in Infectious Disease, and we have a wonderful daughter. We love the beautiful weather and mountains of Colorado.
I chose family medicine as a specialty because I enjoy getting to know and care for all different types of people at different ages and stages in their lives. I work with my patients to help them live healthier lives. I enjoy helping my patients get to the bottom of fixable problems and supporting and guiding people through chronic illnesses. Throughout my life, I have especially appreciated working with individuals with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other developmental disabilities.
I love spending time with my family and friends. I also greatly enjoy being outside whether I am walking, hiking or running. I am a huge fan of fiction, especially British literature, and spend a lot of time reading with my husband. Lastly, I like hanging out with our dog, Fast Eddie, who is always waiting for treats or a walk.
