Where I practice
I spent most of my early life in beautiful Rochester, New York before moving to my wife's hometown in Colorado to start our family and my career as a physician assistant. I love to learn new things. I learn something new every day at work while interacting with patients, as well as at home from my young son and daughter.
About my practice
I look forward to seeing my patients and enjoy learning about them. I especially like working in orthopedics because we can usually help patients feel better and get back to doing active hobbies that they enjoy. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for my patients, so they aren't spending extra time or money to get the care they deserve. Electronic medical records help me to see the big picture of a patient's health, so I can make good use of our time together and answer my patient's questions. Acute and chronic knee and shoulder injuries are of particular interest to me. I like to try to understand your particular lifestyle and activity interests so that we can come up with an effective treatment plan together.
When I am faced with a difficult clinical decision, I consult with one of my supervising physicians and ask myself "what would I want for one of my family members if they were in this situation?" I think that approach helps make good decisions.
How I thrive
Outside of work, I love skiing, mountain biking, and enjoying live music with family and friends. Introducing my favorite activities to our young children is especially rewarding.
