My gender: Female
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I grew up in Rochester, N.Y. and moved to Colorado soon after completing my nursing degree at the University of Rochester. I completed a master of science at the University of Colorado and currently practice as a pediatric nurse practitioner. I have been working in the Perinatal Hospital and Home Care Services department since 2008. I am passionate about everything related to maternal and pediatric health. I live with my husband, son, and daughter in Erie, Colo. My daughter proudly tells anyone who asks that her mom loves to work with “moms and babies.”
I love working with families as they make the transition from hospital to home after having a new baby. I enjoy the time I get to spend with each family, discussing the care of their baby. Dialogue about how to remain healthy both physically and emotionally during this exciting (and sometimes exhausting) time is important. I especially enjoy providing breast feeding support and have been an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2010. I have a special interest in promoting breast feeding in mothers with gestational diabetes and other conditions where successful breast feeding can improve the health of both mother and baby. I prefer to care for my patients using a family centered approach. I enter every hospital room and home with the intention of addressing what is important to each individual family. We work together to develop a plan of care that meets their specific beliefs and needs.
I enjoy traveling, watching baseball (Go Mets!), watching my kids play soccer, camping, gardening, and attempting to play the ukulele.
