Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Male
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and have been fortunate to live in Denver since 1999. I don’t recall ever seriously considering any other career besides medicine. Despite the increasing complexity of the delivery of medical care, the opportunity to interact with and help patients remains a privilege and is personally very fulfilling. I completed my training in internal medicine and endocrinology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and was a faculty member there for almost 10 years before joining the Colorado Permanente Medical Group in the summer of 2015.
I do my best to practice evidence-based medicine and consider it a large part of my clinical role to educate my patients so we can work collaboratively to make the safest and best individualized medical plan. I have a special interest in managing patients with thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer and other thyroid disorders. I employ a pragmatic approach that allows for individualized treatment to best meet a patient's needs within the context of safe and appropriate care.
I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, skiing, and participating in endurance events including triathlons, team running relays, and trail running. I am on the Medical Advisory Council for the Thyroid Cancer Survivors’ Association (ThyCa) and have participated in and helped co-direct The Endocrine Society Introductory Hands-on Thyroid Ultrasound Workshop for many years.
