Where I practice
I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and remained in the South for all of my formal education/training/early professional career, until 2007 when we moved our family to Colorado. I discovered the specialty of Dermatology during my Family Practice residency training in Austin, TX. I was intrigued by the sheer number and variety of problems that can occur in the skin. I was also impressed by how much improvement in a person's quality of life can be made by curing skin ailments. I was fortunate enough to complete a second residency in Dermatology, a specialty that continues to allow me the privilege to learn about patient's stories/background and help us better understand how to improve skin disease.
About my practice
I developed a special interest in Allergic Contact Dermatitis and Medical Dermatology during my early career as an Instructor/Clinician with Emory University. Additionally, my previous practice locations in Georgia and Colorado have afforded me an abundance of experiences for developing expertise in the screening, management, and treatment of skin cancer. As a general dermatologist, I treat all conditions of the skin. My goal in every visit is to help us all better understand the cause, prevention, and remedies of skin disease. Lastly, I enjoy getting to know my patients on a personal level and learning more about what makes each person thrive.
How I thrive
I greatly enjoy spending time with my kids and wife exploring sports, music, reading, cooking and nature activities. Running and spending time outdoors continues to help me maintain the crucial balance of mind and body.
