Where I practice
Originally from Texas, I completed my orthopedic training in Portland, Oregon, and Melbourne, Australia. After traveling so much for my education, my wife and I wanted a place to settle down and raise our family. I grew up visiting Denver and the Front Range as a child to see my cousins here, and ultimately, we decided to move to Colorado to get closer to both of our families. My wife, 2 children, and 2 dogs love enjoying the best Colorado has to offer – hiking, biking, skiing, and exploring the beautiful city of Denver.
About my practice
My expertise is focused around primary hip and knee joint replacement, as well as complex revision hip and knee replacement. I also care for orthopedic trauma patients who need surgery for broken bones or torn tendons or ligaments. I love my job and find so much satisfaction in helping people get back to the things they love. I am devoted to serving my patients with the best medical care possible. I focus on patient-centered care through shared decision-making, enabling patients to align their personal preferences and values with the appropriate treatment plan. I practice evidence-based medicine and will continue to evolve my practice to stay up to date on the most current cutting-edge techniques of orthopedic surgery.
How I thrive
In my free time, I enjoy gardening with my kids, going to stand-up comedy shows with my wife, and skiing and snowboarding as much as I can. I’ve become a huge fan of audiobooks and podcasts, which have turned my daily commute into something I actually look forward to. Some of my favorite authors are Yuval Noah Harari, Viktor Frankl and Malcolm Gladwell. My favorite podcasts include Freakonomics, 99% Invisible and Tim Ferriss. My personal Zen time is mowing my lawn, and I do my best to live by the practice of mindfulness and philosophy of stoicism.
